Chemistry being a basic subject, helps the engg. students to develop an insight into materials, their properties and usage in different environmental conditions. The labs in the college are well equipped. Some of the important instruments available are: Redwood Viscometer, Abel's Flash/ Fire Point Apparatus and Digital Spectocolorimeter, PH meter.
Engineering Physics, as a subject of applied science, contributes significantly to the study of engineering & technology. The theoretical & practical aspects of Physics help students understand many concepts of technical education. In Engineering Physics Lab, students learn various applications of LASER (He-Ne LASER) with a view to studying the properties of light like wavelength, divergence, interference etc. Also, we have optical fibre trainer kit which is a multi-purpose equipment for studying properties & applications of optical fibre technology. This prepares a perspective approach for the student towards advanced study of optical fibre communication. Apart from these, there are items of equipment like Stewart Gee's type Tangent Galvanometer, Electric Vibrator, Michelson's Interferometer, Dielectric set- up etc. for understanding concepts & properties of electricity & magnetism.
